Organic Green Kale Super Smoothie

 An awesome way to love up your body at the start of the day!

Ingredients

Ingredients to make a smoothie for 4
Water (or soy milk or rice milk or coconut cream) – 2 cups
Organic Bananas – four large, ideally at least half frozen
Organic Flax Oil – 4 tablespoons
Organic Kale – organic, half a bunch
Organic Vanilla – 5mls
Organic Fruit – choose your own signature taste – can be 1 punnet blueberries, dozen strawberries, dried figs, dried apricots
Organic Goji Berries – a handful to add even more super power to the smoothie

Step by Step

A green smoothie is a great way to start the day – it takes only minutes to prepare, gives your body a great range of nutrients, hydrates you, leaves you feeling awesome…and is quick and easy to make. One thing we have found is the need to include some fats in the smoothie or you end up with something that leaves you feeling great, but you digest very quickly and then need something else in what seems like no time. Another option is to follow the smoothie with something like eggs on toast.

The key equipment is a good blender – something like a Tribest.  You need to be able to really blend up those leaves so you end up with a green smoothie rather than a fruit smoothie with bits of leaf in!

To make the smoothie just add all the ingredients into the blender, wizz until smooth, then enjoy.
