Frequently Asked Questions - FAQs

Where do we deliver?
We deliver right across Australia and also send overseas from time to time. Most items are happy to be packed up and sent long distances but for fruit, veg and other chilled / frozen lines we have to look at transit times before sending them out. Usually this means the more perishable fruit and veg lines can go as far as the Coffs Coast while frozen items are only sent as far as Coffs Harbour. Less perishable lines can be sent across NSW.

How do we deliver?
Depending on where you live you can chose from a range of delivery options at checkout. This usually means Australia Post across the majority of Australia and local couriers in the Coffs region. You can also pick up in store if you live in the local area - giving you the advantage of having the order packed for you but saving freight costs.

How much is freight?
We work to keep freight costs as low as possible. This usually means standard Australia Post rates across most areas and courier rates along the Coffs coast. With the increasing popularity of this site we hope to be able to even further reduce / subsidise freight costs and offer online in the near future.

What do I do if I have a problem?
Contact Us. We want you to be happy and work hard on our customer service - without you we wouldn't be here! We don't find many problems but when we do hear from you we do our best to resolve any problems on the spot.

Can I Afford Organic Food?
We think that you can't afford not to - and when you look at the goodness in every organic fruit or vegetable compared to conventionally farmed foods it isn't actually that much more expensive. In fact many of the organic lines we sell in this store are cheaper than their conventional counterparts in the regional supermarkets.

Why Choose Organic?
There are lots of great reasons to choose organics...here are just a few of them, courtesy of the BFA:

Good for the soil
Organic systems rely on a modern and scientific understanding of ecology and soil science, while also depending on traditional methods of crop rotations to ensure fertility and weed and pest control.

Good for the animals
Great emphasis is placed on animal welfare.

Good for the environment
Organic systems aim to reduce dependence on non-renewable resources. Organic production aims at all times towards sustainability whilst having best management of the environment and wildlife as a priority.

Good for people
Organic fruit and vegetables have been shown in a number of studies to contain more vitamins, nutrients and cancer-fighting antioxidants than non-organic food.

Organic tastes good
This is the simple message given by many people who eat organic.

No synthetic chemicals
Organic systems prohibit the use of artificial chemicals, pesticides and fertilisers. We don't use these on the crops, and we don't use these on our animals who go though life without the treatment of synthetic growth hormones or drugs.

No GMO's
Organic food is produced without GMOs, which are prohibited in the BFA's standards for organic food and farming.
